Job Smart

Job Smart is a community based project aimed at helping residents who find themselves newly unemployed and require help to navigate the job-seeking market. This project will support recently unemployed residents to improve digital skills and increase chances of getting back to work swiftly. The scheme is designed to provide digital routes to retrain the workforce. This includes navigating the job seeking market, access to CV writing and interview skills. Job Smart will seek to address the confidence and assurance of individuals to make changes that give a better chance of re-employment.

On line support includes five 30-minute bite size videos accessed through the images below and associated support material:

  • Crafting a compelling CV
  • Preparing for on-line and physical interviews
  • Identifying Your Skills for employment
  • How to apply for jobs and where to look
  • Creating a compelling LinkedIn profile

Broxbourne and East Herts residents can be helped further by a team of trained volunteers who will work with a cohort of job seekers whilst observing social distancing rules.
